Commentary on the practice, open for interpretation.
I was looking for a foil to further develop an approach/style that works for me, illustration wise. Something that has traditional connotations to it, but approaches presentation in a new light.
The initial sketch of the character was done on paper then scanned in, the remaining worked up in layers using Painter 12. Image was done on a Wacom Cintiq 24 HD. I'm really liking what they did with this new unit. It does not collect little scratches like my older 21 inch cintiq, and it feels like a more natural immersive drawing experience.
